Settle into a deeply grounding Long Holds Yoga Practice this Sunday, December 7th at 3:30 pm at Raw Emerald Yoga in Scandia with instructor Bethany Barron-Garvin.
In this workshop, we’ll ease into poses held for 3–5 minutes, giving your body time to soften, release, and unwind patterns of tension.
These longer holds help:
- Calm the nervous system
- Shift body out of fight-or-flight
- Create a quieter internal landscape where you can breathe more fully and reconnect with yourself.
This style of yoga is supportive, slow, and accessible to all levels—perfect for anyone seeking stress relief, gentle stretching, or a mindful reset.
As the body settles, the mind follows. Staying in each pose trains patience, stillness, and concentration, helping you build mental endurance without strain or force. You’ll learn how to stay with one sensation or point of focus, soften reactivity, and cultivate a steadier inner presence.
This practice is highly beneficial for reducing anxiety, improving flexibility, increasing body awareness, and supporting emotional balance.
Join us at 3:30 this Sunday!
